This bag is provided by Tabung haji to all jemaah. It was given to jamaah during the embarkation registration at Kelana Jaya. It will be carried as a sling bag by all jamaah during their stay in holy land. There is a sticker on this bag with all detail information such as name and hotel where the jamaah is staying. This is in case the bag got lost or the jamaah himself got lost. So that the bag can be returned to the rightful owner or the jemaah himself can be returned to the hotel.
The significance of this bag is that the flag and the Malaysian wording on it. Jamaah from Malaysian are well regarded by other jamaah for their good manners and their patience. They are also are well regarded by the shopkeepers and the hawkers for their never ending power to purchase. Throw anything at them and for sure the Malaysian will be there to buy.
But the flag and Malaysian name also serve other purpose. Thry are magnet to those asking for charities. These are well dressed man operates in numbers together. They will approach the Malaysian who is by themselve with sad stories and also claiming to be from some charity seeking organisation. Either they will sit themselve beside you in the masjid or they approach you whle you are outside the masjid. Normally they will not approach the Indonesian or jamaah from indian sub continent. I wonder why. These people just loved the Malaysian. We Malaysian are people with hugh magnetism clearly identified by this bag. Becoz more often then not we Malaysian will donate some Rials to those in need or claiming to be one. Malaysia boleh!
